Apple Valley Campus
Eagle Brook Church
After worshipping in a temporary space for several years, Eagle Brook Church (EBC) partnered with BWBR to fulfill the south metro congregation’s dream of moving into a permanent location. EBC-Apple Valley is a successful continuation of the design elements that represent the EBC brand, as well as an adaptive reuse project that transformed a former Menards facility into a worship center.
The design is welcoming and comfortable, with bright and fresh colors that align with EBC’s clean and contemporary branding. Strategically planned traffic routes and interior circulation improve upon past EBC designs to increase flexibility and ease the flow of people throughout the campus. Clear, prominent wayfinding grounds visitors so they can easily reach one of the three major destinations: the central worship space, or the café and kids ministry that bookend the main lobby.
The project helped EBC follow part of its mission to positively impact the surrounding community, starting by revitalizing the city corner where the former Menards had been vacant for some time. By moving the front door to the east side of the facility, the site opens up to expansive new parking and distinguishes the EBC entry from the remaining attached retail entry.
