Local History
BWBR has always valued our work with the state of Wisconsin, and by 2012 it became clear that the obvious next step was to form a local office to help facilitate that work and bring the firm closer to its clients. As a result, BWBR brought on principal Tom Hanley to open and lead the new Madison, Wis. office. Within six months, the office had recruited a handful of staff. Today, the office has grown to more than a dozen employees and contributes significantly to the overall success of BWBR.

The office began with a focus on higher education work, especially state universities, and has since branched out to include health care and behavioral health (especially in rural settings), with science + tech and workplace projects not far behind.

Community Connections
The BWBR Madison team is a tight-knit group that enjoys sand volleyball, catching local baseball or soccer games, and just generally finding ways to be together outside the office. They are also passionate about community involvement, and past philanthropic activities have included supporting the United Way and Second Harvest, providing gardening labor for a local food pantry, and adopting a family for the holidays.
