Avera on Louise Health Campus
Avera McKennan Hospital
To meet growing needs and actively shape the future of healthcare in Sioux Falls, S.D., Avera Health embarked on the largest building project in Sioux Falls history: a new 82-acre specialty care campus. The new campus design is focused on serving a diverse range of client needs through convenient high-end care, walkability, and easy accessibility for all community members. Specialties include orthopedics, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and internal medicine.
Phase I of the project is comprised of a new 24-bed surgical hospital connected to a medical office building by a multi-story public commons. The hospital is home to large, technologically advanced surgical suites with the latest in robotic surgical techniques. Support services include physical therapy, lab, imaging, and pharmacy and biomedical equipment. To complete the revamped experience, the new commons space invites the public to interact with the hospital through dining areas, a gift shop, a chapel, and various seating options.
