Dry Room Addition and Renovation
Medical Device Manufacturer
A dry room addition and renovation improves 24/7 production facilities with cleanroom functions. The project adds resilience and capacity to mission-critical production capabilities for medical device components that demand highly controlled environments.
To create a resilient design, extensive air handling, humidity control, particulate control, environmental monitoring, and back-up systems are integrated to provide reliable, maintainable infrastructure and N+1 redundancy for select systems. The costs and benefits of hardened structure were evaluated throughout the process with select implementations at critical locations.
The project also meets complex production and staff needs. Goals focused on low cost of operation, adaptability, ease of maintenance without disruption to production, correcting storm water-related infrastructure, and providing a pleasant work environment (daylight and views) guided the design. A branded tour route is integrated into the functional performance and environmental control strategy of the facility.
