Campus Expansion
Aldevron
Already hosting the world’s largest plasmid DNA manufacturing facility, the multi-phased master plan of this 14-acre headquarters campus increases the production of plasmid DNA, proteins, and other biologicals that help their partners achieve groundbreaking science in a variety of life science applications. Functional increases include cGMP production, warehouse, research and development, secure storage and stability testing, administration, and staff support spaces.
Phase 1 improves how Aldevron scales to serve the biopharmaceutical industry with the world’s most advanced bio-manufacturing platforms. The addition increases services tenfold for cGMP and GMP-Source production and an expanded logistics hub. Spatial organization, materials utilization, structure and form configuration, and mechanical and electrical systems integration seamlessly complements and strengthens the existing structure. The design also provides separation and redundancy of critical infrastructure, is responsive to the Upper Midwest climate, and reflects the industry-leading science supported within.
This phase also addresses the wants and needs of a growing workforce. Skillfully branded environments and furnishings support collaborative staff interactions through interconnected neighborhoods, supportive meeting spaces, proximity to key production and research functions, staff amenities, and generous daylighting with expansive views. Integrated flexibility supports evolutions in procedures and processes. The campus expansion maximizes the site’s geometry and available building footprint to provide comprehensive support for the rapidly developing field of genetic-based medicine.
