Medical Device Facility
HistoSonics
BWBR partnered with HistoSonics, a medical device company advancing the science of histotripsy, to design a workplace that supports the incredible innovation, testing, and collaboration that goes into this groundbreaking technology. Histotripsy is a non-invasive process using focused sound energy to create a “bubble-cloud” that destroys diseased, targeted tissue at a sub-cellular level, bringing meaningful change to physicians and patients.
As a quickly growing, mission-oriented organization, flexibility was key to the design of the space, which includes both workspaces and staff amenities and highly technical lab and production facilities. As HistoSonics works to advance their revolutionary cancer treatment technology, an education center forms the heart of the space, where doctors, prospective patients, and other visitors are welcomed in for regular events and hands-on training.
A custom wall graphic in the work cafe helps establish a visual identity inspired by the “bubble-cloud” and to further extend the brand and relate to the histotripsy technology. As with the technology, taking in the graphic from different vantage points gives a different perspective for folks to interact with, while also bringing energy and visual interest to the gathering space.
