Generose Building, Psychiatry & Psychology Master Plan and Remodeling
Mayo Clinic
Master Plan | Mayo Clinic engaged BWBR in a master plan to improve space utilization and reorganize the entire Department of Psychiatry & Psychology, which was housed on five floors over two buildings. This work was implemented over several phases and projects, and touched many aspects of Mayo Clinic facilities for Psychiatry & Psychology.
Inpatient Renovations | Multiple phased projects including: Safety updates of 72 beds in four units for Acute Adult, Geriatric, Child and Adolescent, and Mood programs; renovation to provide a 10-bed unit for highly aggressive behavioral patients with medical complications; and in design, a 24-bed replacement for highly aggressive behavioral patients. A security and patient-centered renovation of the secure patient courtyard is under construction.
Outpatient Renovations | BWBR has worked with Mayo Clinic to renovate, refresh, and improve facilities including outpatient clinics, outpatient programs such as their Adult and Adolescent Pain Rehab Clinics with associated physical therapy and occupational therapy facilities, Partial Hospitalization Programs, psych testing facilities, and check-in facilities, including the renovation of the atrium with a “secret garden” theme.
