Radiology and Outpatient Clinic Addition and Renovation
Providence Medical Center
After completing a facility master plan in 2019, BWBR partnered with Providence Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital in northeast Nebraska, to implement an addition and renovation that support growing needs in the community. Strategic phasing of the project minimized impacts to operations, allowing the center to continue providing critical care throughout construction.
Phase 1 provides a new campus main entry, central registration, radiology department including MRI and CT modalities which consolidates all services into one location, and a concourse that leads to the remodeled spaces. A new outpatient clinic houses infusion rooms, spaces for stress testing, psychiatry, counseling, and staff support. Phase 2 creates a surgery clinic and new surgery suite that includes two OR’s, transforms the existing OR into an endoscopy suite, and adds new pre-op and recovery spaces with private rooms. Materials management, wound care, and cardiac rehabilitation spaces are also updated. Interior finishes throughout both the addition and remodeled spaces create a refreshed feel while still being comfortable and welcoming to longtime community visitors.
