Fraternity and Sorority Life Housing

To upgrade the campus’s living and learning fraternity and sorority communities, the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) worked with BWBR and KWK Architects to design a new replacement residence hall and a renovation of the existing Martin Hall.

The designs of both residence halls increase flexibility, with floor plans that allow spaces to adapt to changing populations each school year. Amenities are more inclusive, progressive, and equitable so that the fraternities and sororities can better support their members, educational experiences, and community service goals. Both residence halls house more than 120 beds, one chapter room per community in the basement level, a great room on the main level, and covered exterior spaces so that the chapters can easily interact.
